Charles F. Starck, AIA has over 30 years of highly diversified architectural design
experience with commercial, institutional hospitality, retail, and industrial building types.
He has worked both domestically and internationally and is a licensed, registered
architect in AZ, CA, CO, ID, OK, TX and WA.
He is experienced in all aspects of design, project management, and construction
administration and is a proponent of design/build and Integrated Project Delivery
systems. Each project brings with it a set of unique requirements. To assure those
requirements are met, he selects and leads a knowledgeable team of architects,
designers and engineers experienced and qualified in the specific project type. This
assures clients of the best possible design and budget outcome. A versatile architect
with a history of achieving the clients design and budget expectations, Charles prides
himself on his ability to connect with the client and to provide a successful and well
thought out project.
Hospitality Experience
Charles has worked both in the architectural industry as well as the design build industry
where he has successfully lead hospitality projects such as Staybridge Suites, Hampton
Inn & Suites, Cambria Suites, Holiday Inn, Holiday inn Express, Hilton Garden Inn and
The Celebration Hotel.
Retail / Shopping Center Experience
Charles has been involved in the design and construction of many retail shopping
centers with anchor chains stores such as Publix, Kroger, Big Star, Colonial, and Winn-
Dixie.
Food Processing and Distribution Industry Experience
Charles is experienced on the process and distribution side of the food industry having
designed and provided construction administration for CEGF-USA, Inc., McCarty Foods,
IBP, McKee Foods and other major food processing companies.
International Experience
His broad range of experience includes international projects such as newspaper printing
plants and wholesale distribution centers in Europe for such international firms as United
Parcel Service, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, A.G., and Jacobs-Souchard.
Single / Multi - Family Residential
During his career he has designed over 64 single family residences and acted as
design/build contractor for 45 residences. He has been project architect and provided
construction administration services for over 550 multi-family units.
Child Development Centers
He has been project architect and construction administrator for 26 KinderCare Child
Development Centers in Georgia, Florida, Virginia, New York, Maryland, Michigan,
Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Career Highlight
During his tenure at LPB in Atlanta, Charles was the project architect in charge of the
design and development of construction documents and construction administration for
the Celebration Hotel, a high profile boutique hotel, built in the Walt Disney Company’s
planned City of Celebration, Florida. Charles is proud to have worked on this project in
collaboration with The Office of Graham Gund, design architect. The hotel has been
nominated for several design awards.
